[Notice] Submission of thesis for master’s degree for Spring, 2014

 
Those who scheduled to graduate with master’s degree in February 2015 have to submit the thesis for degree within the designated period as below. So please refer to the information about thesis for master's degree for spring semester, 2014.
 
* Notes : Obligation for using Turnitin System(Thesis Plagiarism prevention system)
- Submit the results after checking and confirming the thesis plagiarism(Similarity).
- Students who scheduled to graduate with Master’s degree in February, 2015. 
 
1. Period of submitting the thesis and paying thesis review fees
    : Nov.6th(Thu), 2014 ~ Nov. 12th(Wed),2014
 
2. Payment of Thesis Review Fees
 - Thesis Review Fees : 100,000 KRW
 - Account of payment for thesis review fees : Virtual Payment Account of Each department office (Contact to
    Department Office)
 - Please pay the fees with your name (Student's name)
 
3. Submission of thesis : Application on website - Submit the required documents to department office
 
1) Application procedure on the Website
 : Login to AIMS2 portal website → ‘Academic Information for Graduate School(대학원 학사)' → 'Graduation
   (졸업)'(on the upper side) → 'Register Thesis for degree(청구논문등록) → Input the title of the thesis (Korean and
   English) → Print out the form of "Petition to review the thesis for Master’s degree" → Submit it to department
   office
 
2) Required Documents to submit to the department office
 - Petition to review the thesis for Master’s degree
 - List of review members
 - Recommendation letter of external review member(Only for applicants who appointed external personnel as a
    review member)
 - Research Ethics Compliance Statement(Only for students who affiliated departments which are asking
    dissertation publication obligatorily.)
 - Confirmation Letter of Dissertation Publication(Attach the page of the printed copy of the dissertation)
 - (When you scheduled to dissertation publication) Certificate of the expectant publication on academic
    article(Attach the page of the thesis for degree)
 * Applicants who submit the certificate of the expectant publication on academic article have to the page of printed
    copy of the dissertation within the period of review)
 
3) Required documents to submit to review member for thesis
 - Thesis for review
 * Thesis title have to be written by English and Korean. (In case of thesis written by English, you can write in
    English title on the thesis for degree.
 * You can download all forms regarding the thesis for degree on the website of graduate school
   (http://grad.ajou.ac.kr). → Board (게시판)→ Forms(서식자료실)
 
4. Qualification and required documents for submission of thesis
 
1) Qualification : Any student who satisfied the following
 - A student who has completed master’s courses or scheduled to complete
    (A Student who acquired 24 credits or more in Major and 6 credits in Research and got cumulative GPA of 3.0
    or better)
 - A student who completed the registration of 4 semesters or more
 - A student who passed the qualifying examination (foreign language test and comprehensive examination)
 - A student who received the thesis advisement for two or more semesters or a student scheduled to have the
    thesis advisement
 - A student who has yet to have 6 years for master’s program after the admission (excluding the period of leave)
 - A Student who completed the courses (taking all required credits for graduation) and registered research
    registration.
 
2) Required Documents
 - Petition to review the thesis for degree
 * Submit the form after applying on the website of graduate school
 - List of thesis review members
 - Recommendation letter of external review member (Only for applicants who appointed external personnel as a
    review member)
 - 3 copies of thesis for review
    (Submit 3 copies of thesis for review to review members (paper screening judges) in person)
 - Research Ethics Compliance Statement

Certificate of checking plagiarism(Similarity) of dissertation and related materials

Submission of final printed copy

Dec.22nd(Mon), 2014 ~ Jan.06th(Tue), 2015

-If you do not submit the final printed copy of thesis within designated period, you are left off the list of graduation.

 ※ You have to submit the final printed copy of thesis to Library in Ajou Univ. 
 ※ If you have any further questions, please refer to the rules of graduate school in Ajou University and contact to
     department office.
 
6. Qualification for paper screening judges
 - Full-time professor in Ajou Univ. majored same field of study with students
 - (Medical Field) Full-time professor with doctorate degree or Associate Professor and above in Ajou Univ.
 - Full-time professor (associate professor and above in Ajou Univ.) with doctorate degree and same major field of
    study with students and same position in Ajou. (when the student worked in Ajou Univ. as a professor)
 - Those who do not related to applicants as relatives
 
7. Organization of thesis review members
 - Thesis review members are composed at least 3 people with doctorate degree. and available to appoint external       personnel as one of the review members. (In that case, honorary professor in Ajou university can be an external
    personnel of review members.) 
 - Majority of thesis members have to major in the same field of study related to thesis contents.
 - Academic Advisor of applicants will be a chairman of thesis review committee automatically unless there are
    particular reasons.
 - Chairman of paper screening committee have to be selected among thesis review members including Academic
    advisor, but external paper screening member do not become a chairman of thesis review committee.
 * Professor in research year can be composed to participate in whole process of paper screening personally.
